How to Install an eSIM on Android (All Brands)

To install an eSIM on Android, open Settings, go to Network and internet then SIMs, tap Add eSIM, and scan your QR code. The exact menu varies by brand (Samsung uses SIM manager), but the steps are the same across Android phones.

Steps

  1. On Wi-Fi, open Settings > Network & internet > SIMs (or Connections > SIM manager on Samsung).
  2. Tap Add eSIM or the +, then Scan QR code.
  3. Confirm the download and label the line.
  4. Set it as your mobile data SIM and enable data roaming when you arrive.

Brand notes

Menus differ slightly by brand. See Samsung setup, Pixel setup, and the combined install guide. Google's Android eSIM help covers the differences.
